William has been one of the best tutors that my son has had. Initially my son was resistant to working with William but over the last several months, William has gained Santino’s trust and now our son see’s William as a valuable resource. William has the ability to work with kids and be very professional with parents about what he can do during the session.
William works hard to support learning while also being firm when he has to be which I think is a great skill for a tutor. He demonstrates confidence with an “I can tutor anyone attitude”. He has a good balance with my son and he made it easy for learning to take place. William also provided Santino with short-cuts and tricks to help him master the material. I would often hear my son singing and laughing during his tutoring session with William, so one day I stepped into investigate, and William said to me “he is learning by singing”. He is always stepping outside the box for my son to learn! He has an encouraging voice and he took command of the session without question.
He’s not just a tutor, but a mentor and a role model. I always think he is teaching him a life skill. My son always resisted reviewing his work and soon enough….my son started to review his work. My son is learning the skill of revision. In closing, we would like to offer our recommendation for William to tutor respective clients.
